Dual transfer Q's

Post by a1 mech »

Gday

Ive just fitted dual transfers to my 4runner and was wondering what people were doing for gearstick boots?

Just after a few different views or ideas from people who have had to fab something custom up.

Cheers

One in the cab, or on the transfer?

Thick chemical glove on the transfer?

The ones in the cab, My duals consist of 2 topshifts so the transfer sticks are close together a decent distance from the main gearshifter. Iv been searching ebay and found a twinstick boot for a ferguson tractor that may work, I will probably use a 2wd boot for the main shifter and clamp them down on sum checkerplate cut to the shape of the drivetrain tunnel.

Still open for any good ideas, If anyone has any random boots that may work lying aorund let me know.

Cheers
