engel round 4- what a joke
cant beleive how crap this event was for the spectators, sorry to all the people who came out for a good day once again the organizers stuffed it up. i am a long time fan of this sport and in the past few yrs the spec numbers are really dropping, if this keeps up there will be less and less comp drivers entering. cheers jarks.

These events are not run for spectators. Your comments are doing more harm for the sport than inexperienced event management. They put on an event that most teams seemed to enjoy on a brand new property and in almost the most difficult weather we have had in a long time.
If you love the sport you would try to help it and not destroy it.
cheers

Well for me this was my first event i have been to. I drove 3 hours each way to watch what by the looking of photos of previous events was to be a well worth it and all round good day. Got there walked through mud for a few kms which was not a problem if i was going to be watching something. i saw about ten cars drive about 100 meters consisting of one corner. Then i moved to the second stage after being there for an hour saw two cars winch two bends. I am not having a go at anyone here but really could have been worth mentioning how much you were actually going to see especially after driving 6 hours in total and being charged to watch. This event could have been fantastic for competitors, but i will not be going to another event with out knowing something about the quality of spectator viewing. Just a suggestion maybe give a star rating for spectator viewing to save people driving half a day to be a little disappointed. I hope this is constructive criticism.
It is good to see someone put forward constructive comments and concerns. I believe the organisers are well aware of the issues which faced spectators and are already working towards address those issues for next time. It is constructive comments like yours that can only make the spectator viewing better. hi all, i made the 4 hour round drive to watch and LOVED IT. yes it was a lil hard to work out where the stages were. but this can be fixed easy enough. with signs and arrows. or even a rough mud may put up some where central.
as for the access to see the tracks and car parking. there is NO fix to this!
if you think about it, car parking taking up shit loads of flat space. this is all ways a problem.
Eg calder, phillip island, sandown all these places you have to walk long distances to get to your viewing spots, even then you cant see the whole track.
i reckon all the ppl envoled should be thanked for all there hard work.

this event did have its issues... however, big thanks to the organisers for putting in a big effort to hold a comp on a new property. i will shake the hand of any person be it organiser or marshal etc who gives their time for the sport. this event did have its low points, but it also had its high points. so long as we learn from the lows and build on the highs, we will keep moving forward. i really appreciate the efforts of the marshals and organisers. to the unlimited crew, thanks for your massive efforts, i hope you will not be put off by the naysayers, and will come back to build on your first effort.

I'm with lux kid. I went to rockcrawling at Lara. There was a long walk to the comp area.
The ateco had shuttle buses but you still had a lot of walking between stages, and long waits between trucks.
Sunday was a bit slow until the track dried and then I think everyone was happy. There was a competitor going thru every 10mins and plenty of action. It's easy for nobs to knock. I'll go next year again. Just need a couple of stages going for variety and mud maps and signs. I saw a lot of people wandering along the top road to no-where.

I agree, constructive comments are useful and will help the organisers in the future. I too made the 6 hour round trip, and bought the children, all 5 of them, we all had a great day out.
Yes it would have been good to see more action, maybe next time.
To the organisers, if you need more help next time PM me.

Im sure the unlimited industries crew are well aware of the problems that arose, and im guessing it didnt go exactly like they had planned but at least they now know whats gonna work and whats not, construtive critisism is what we need here to help them iron out the bugs for round 1 if they take the reins again
i must be the only retard that followed the comp trucks into the comp truck area and got told to go back to nooje turn RIGHT at the pub and then a left. i guess we got a lil excited seein the comp trucks in town n followed em lol. oops
i liked the event, there was one of the marshals/organisers who annoyed me, old lady with glasses looked like a librarian and sounded like one! definately didnt think she belonged in the comp truck scene but hey shes a good sport to be a part of it.
loved the green machine the 355 stroker GQ
what a monster, absolute powerhouse clawing its way up the 2nd stage
