Exhaust after rear 1/4 chop

Post by JAFO74 »

Hi all, after doing the chop and starting to make a new rear bar I am wondering what anybody else has done with the exhaust pipe that now hangs out ready to get destroyed. I am pretty shaw that I can't 'legally' just cut it off under the car so I am up for suggestions and any photos of what others have done about this.
Thanks

Cut the exhaust back and use a dump pipe that has a bend on the end to angle it down. Obviously it has to still be higher then your departure angle

you should just dump your girlfriend for bringing this up in the first place. Everything was fine till she opened her mouth

I am not bagging it because I think it is a completely fine way of doing it, but being very technical about it, is that sufficiently far behind the last openable window to be legal?

I am not saying it's wrong just asking whether technically it could get knocked back on a roadworthy.
This is not legal advice.

Just leave it. If u have a rock that close to that part of ur car u have bigger problems then a bent exhaust. Lol mine is same and I haven't hit it yet touch wood. If it exits under the car after chopping u can end up having fumes coming into ur truck through various holes and crevessis.
