dyno

Post by smash250 »

Well its been a while since my last update, but i finally took the GU over the DYNO today. I have got a few issues to iron out yet but im pretty happy with the result i left with. The Dyno figures were 178Kw + 543Nm @ 2986rpm. This was diesel only as i have a Diesel Gas system on it as well but have not turned it on yet as its not 100% finished but should be close to 200KW with the gas system on. This car is going to be my daily driver so although could have got more torque out of the motor, left it @543 because they start to blow too much diesel smoke.

Cheers Ash

Hey Fellas

it will boost well over 20, I'm using the same turbo and It 'streaks' to 30 psi, after that the boost gauge runs off the clock.

My waste gate is set to open at that pressure but I'm told it'll still go higher...the engines are good for it as there are guys on here pushin 40psi.....

If you have a search there's some interesting info about the Pro's and cons of high boost in regards to Turbo efficiency bands, high charge air temps, intercooler efficiency, etc etc

Great to hear someone else used this turbo, as its dosent seem to be a popular choice...correct me if I'm wrong?

regards
GQ with 30 PSI of TD42T.........

i've put one on a 1hz, but haven't had much luck so far getting it to perform. hoping after some modifying we can get some better results.

it probably needs more fuel, but it needs some other things before we turn it up.
