what size lift?

i was wonderring if any1 knows what size lift on a leaf sprung sierra is needed to fit 35s? [/b]
4-6" and a shitload of guard cutting. The more cutting you do the less lift you need.
I have about 4.5-5" (3" spring, 2" body) have done some trimming on the guards and my 33's still rub!
You wont fit them without cutting the guards unless you want it to be ridiculously tall and unstable.
try a search and read the bible (sticky at top of suzuki section)

It all depends on how much guard cutting you do.
2" BL, 2" Bumpstop space and then cut to fit. Lift the suspension just enough to have acceptable compression travel.
Bear in mind, there's 4.5" of lift in the tyres alone, so as set up above, you'll be about 8" or so taller than stock. That's plenty.

Greg's car has a little bit of chassis rub with 35 13.5 Krawlers but has off the shelf 8" rims. It has stock steering stops - no spacing. Likewise the Q78's on my car are on very lightly backspaced wheels and I also have next to no chassis contact with stock steering stops, so my experience tells me that steering lock can be acceptable with 35's and reasonable offset.just cruizin' wrote:more importantly how much steering do you want. I think the bigger message is that the complications of fitting 35's aren't related to lift height.
