3.5 v6 rear axle, does any one have any measurments.

Post by DougH »

Some one is looking to use one of these axles as an alternative to the gm 14 bolt, or the dana 60.

Personally I dont need the 3.5 sized axle, so I think I will let him in on our little secret. I am sure in a couple years there will be more than enough of these axles in junkyards and cheap too.

I was hoping to find out the folowing information:

Number of splines
Axle shaft size
Ring gear size

Width.

Any any other goodies you might now.

Thanks
DougH

Yes I've measured one :-
- 10" diameter crownwheel
- 31 spline
- 35.5mm axle shaft diameter (at the spline)
Not sure of length though but probly slightly shorter than a 3.0 V6 axle because of the larger diff centre.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
