Coily diff mudded

Post by Coily Zook »

Got a 97 coily and i've filled the rear diff with mud, i noticed a lot of noise all of a sudden going down the freeway kind of like a stuffed bearing noise i pulled over immediately and dropped the oil to have a look and it was muddy as. There were no chunks of metal only some fine metallic paiste stuck to the magnet it kind of resembelled graphite grease, i had the car put on a truck and taken home i just want abit if an idea of what i might be up for ie just bearings or full rebuild? or if anyone else has done this themselves and what did they have to do.
thanks Richo
