Need help quick!

Post by monkeycritter »

Mate of mine needs to get a new camshaft for his Hilux. It has a 2L-T engine in it.

Does anyone know if the camshaft for a 2L-T is the same as the 2L??????

Any help will be appreciated!

It depends what you call a 2lt, the 2lt is based on the 2l, the 2lte is based on the 3l.

Cross referencing part numbers, or ringing toyota for part numbers will solve the problem.

I have found out, thanks.

Maybe someone want's this in the bible??

2L, 2LT and the 2LT-E all have the same cam, so to speak.

The earlier motors had a 3 journal cam and the later ones had a 5 journal cam! So not really the same??

But the cams are the same except for the bearing journals!

Now if anyone knows where I can get a new one, please pm me!
