Interesting news for SA people - Tyre sizes

Post by bogged »

Some is old news, it all maybe old...

But I hadnt heard the bacon are carrying books... Wonder how long till that hits each state.....

The SA cops (highway patrol) now all carry a large manual filled with all sorts of data for just about every 4x4 sold. It (the manual) has all the info regarding tyre sizes, standard height of vehicle (wheel centre to bottom of wheel arch), GVM, GCM etc etc..
Hope they leave interstaters alone.

surely there is a more accurate way to measure height than hub to guard.

since when is guard chopping a form of raising your vehicle?

Would this book be available to the public? Sounds like a good resource to have for making sure a 4b is all legal.
