Most people drop the radiator down 50mm so it all sits the same as it did factory.

after i finished the install, i started up the lux and we found out the fan was hitting the fan shroud, so we bent and trimmed it out of the way.
i had the extended lines fitted a couple of weeks before the body lift was, but go full lock each way checking to see how much the current lines stretch, then flex a bit and check as well,
i had the luxury of bbm rick to answer my question whether to get ext. lines or not. he told me to drive up the ramp at bbm and he checked for me, he said that id be better off getting ext. lines so i did.

thanks rick

cheers for that i will have a play around with that today so you bent and trimmed it not moved the actual position of it.

no i didnt move it at all, just turn the fan and where it hits the shroud, thats where you need to move, just move/trim as needed.
did you check that you gearsticks(both gearshift/hilo selector) move into every gear/position smoothly?? thats another spot i had to trim(around reverse/2nd gears)

take off the rubber boots/gasket thing that surround the gear sticks, trim off whats not needed with a grinder until you can get into every gear smoothly, be sure to check hi/lo range as well. dont cut out too much though, trim, check, trim some more, check again, etc
hows the fuel filler?? how about the steel lines coming off the brake master cylinder and clutch fluid bottle?? steering shaft??

and people think that a body lift is just putting in some blocks. :D

as far as i can tell the cables are ok and so is the steering shaft i am just about finished the fan shroud which i will chuck back on then get the grinder out and grind down that plate,

fuel filler cap is fine it is connected to the tray i am only guna jack that up 1" later on.

thanks for your help by the way was freaking out when the gears wouldnt work when i checked i pulled that thing off and they slipped in fine so im glad you confirmed that is the only thing

had to remove the rubber surround of the 4wd gear selector it felt to weird pushing against it with the egar selector.

my steering feels pretty tight and heavy not sure if this means i should loosen of the steering or not.

cheers guys

if the steering is heavy it can be adjusted at the draglink(i think) unless it has a different set up than mine. at each end of the draglink theres a cotter pin, remove the pins tighten or loosen the screw in the end with a large flat head screwdriver and check the steering, adjust until it feels right.
im unsure if the later models have the same setup, mine is a 86mod with no power steering and it has steering box to pitman arm to draglink to j-arm to drivers side wheel to tie rod to passenger side wheel.
hope you can understand and get it sorted.
