radio removal

Post by blettres1 »

hi mate i have 93 paj and if it is the same as mine the trim around it has to be removed there are 2 screws holding the trim in at the top take them out and then the top should come away from the dash the bottom is held in by 2 spring clips you should be able to just pull it off by hand. the radio is screwed to a bracket in the dash by 4 screws you will see this once the trim is removed. another thing to know my mate had an 89 paj we fitted a new radio all was good till he turned the lights on and the fuse blew this is because the factory earth is not man enough for modern radio so i ran a new one to one of the 4 screws that holds it in the dash. feel free to e mail me a pic if this dont work and i might be able to work it out.

Good luck mate
