manual or auto?
The alternator in my MK L28 died in the arse several years ago and i happened to have an 80 amp bosch to suit a holden in the shed.
Had to get a mate with a few clues to build me a mounting bracket that cleared the oil pump and cause i know sfa about auto electrics i took the whole show to an auto elec that bypassed the original external regulator (with 100 mm of wire and two female spade clips) The external reg is still hanging off the wheel arch so i have 2 options if i have the problem again
cost me a box of beer for the mount and 20 bucks for the auto elec.
