Just brought an XJ for the missus but it looks so f@cking POX with the 225/70 r15 will 31's go under no worries
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.

No chance.
I just fitted 30x9.5's to the wifes Volvo and they rub fairly heavily on full stuff.....But I think a bit of trimming will fix that so I'm not too worried - but 31's no chance....

No way. You will need atleast 2-3" lift.

And do XJ's have parabolic rear springs as mine r as flat as but the truck sits level with the front and there coils

You will get away with 30" or close to.
Expect some rubbing however.

tHESE ARE 36's with 9" of lift.

R the rear leaves fairly flat from standard or r mined just F@CKED
but bare in mind that the body is pretty level from front to back
