Anyone out there know of any cams available to give slightly better bottom end torque for the trusty old 1hz? :D [/code]

cam regrinding is useless for a N/A application with the 1HZ

U want more torque?

Supercharge or turbo charge it.... PROPERLY

a place in ozi park just off colingwood st does custom cam grinds i think the only place in perth still as most cams now days are off the shelf

just worried if i made the airbox and intercooler the same size as yours my car would be too top heavy!!!! :finger:

dont doubt it! I'll be honest the 4.88's allow me to push the 35 and 37 inch tires i run quiet well... A little bit more poke from idle never hurts hence why im seeking a cam :D

I think you'd be better off investing in the 24 valve motor (multivalve) Or you could atleast put the multivalve head, pistons etc on the 1hz block.

the pistons come awfully close to the valves in a stock 1hz so i cant see there being much to work with.

From what i hear, the multivalve head on the 1HZ with 1HZ pistons would give you a compression ratio of about a million:1, just before the valves got mashed

yeah it wouldnt work at all but whack in 1hdt rods and pistons and u have the same bottom end, not sure about the head aligning
