GU 3lt to a 4.2lt engine conversion!

Post by GU_BEEST »

Hi, I was just wanting some info on putting a GU 4.2lt turbo diesel engine into a 3lt! The plan is to get a wrecked 4.2 and swap every thing over that i'll have to. Just wondering if the bellhousing on the gearbox is the same, the engine mounts line up in the same spot, if i will have to swap the dash over to siut the 4.2 loom? and pretty much if anyone has done it what things to look out for and and how straight foward it is! Thanks.
