chassis exstension?

chassis exstension?

just wanted to know when you do a front chassis exstension for rear up front what plane do you exstend it on? do you follow the frame and point it downwards ? or do you bring it out level ?

Mine is butted up to the existing frame end so I guess it follows the rail downwards.

so it woult have affected your caster angles did you notice any difference in the steering?

With Swampers extended Shackles and no steering stabiliser....... Hmmm


Yes (But not to do with the castor, you would only be talking mm's)

Some of the setups on Pirate extend parallel to the ground it think - but we're talking about some pretty long extensions too.

Big Steve's extension is only 100mm.

Is the spring mount moved forward a full 100mm .. I thought that most of em were only 75mm ??

he overall effect on handling would be pretty minimal (you may loose a degree or two still is is nothing that could not be fixed with some small degree wedges)
