Well I'm flying out today, next stop Las Vegas, where the next Best in the Desert race is being held. I think there's one Ultra 4 rock crawling car entered, but the biggest news is Shannon Campbell is entering his KOH independent car in the open class, 1500. Will be really cool to see how fast this thing can actually go.
After that I have to go do a couple of weeks work, then it's on the Johnson Valley and the Hammers for some KOH pre running over Christmas / New Year - The countdown to Feb 12 2010 is on!

Dave Schneider in the 4471 didn't manage to finish the morning race due to multiple issues.
The afternoon race was awesome. 4 x 60 mile laps, with only trophy trucks, class one buggies and 7200 trucks (bru's ICV with a v6) were in it, so it was fast.
Shannon had a decent start position and straight away it was evident how fast 4 wheel drive was in the corners - he was coming out of the corners way faster than the TTs and class 1s. In the straight tho the desert car's longer suspension allowed them to get away a bit. He finished strongly to still be amongst his class.
We had to pit and fuel him every single lap due to the small size of his fuel cell - most of the others stopped once.
Just trying to upload some pics whilst dealing with a splitting hangover.
