i havent set one off but have taken if off the steering wheel a number of times to move it just make sure you unplug your battery and if you put your battery back on whilst the air bag is off you will need to get the code reset via a computer

my concern is bowling a roo over while in the country and setting it off, i had a couple of lucky misses with roo's not that long ago.

A Navara at work hit a roo last week at around 90km/hr.....no big deal until the airbags went off!!! Driver couldnt see where he was going but luckily was able to slow down and pull over to the side of the road. Bullbar was bent a little but hardly any damage.
I always thought that you needed a much larger impact to set them off!!

it would depend on where on the vehicle the strike is. Some would not set the air bags off while another one may.

I still dont think an airbag was needed in this situation. Much to lite an impact
