Hilux Fuel Pumps

Post by HTH »

Im changing out my fuel pump cause i think its Farked.
but the pump i have to change it out is slightly different.

i may be off a 97+ model hilux. Im more worried about the bit on the top, it seems to have some kind of vaccum on the top that pushes against the throttle.

If the new one i have is off a newer model (5L) will it work? im not worried about the small amount of extra fuel it will be pushing as i am turboing it anyways.

Heres a few pics...

1) the current one on the car-

2) the new one-

The vacuum unit is for a/c idle up. If you are turboing it why not put a boost comp on it while its off the vehicle.

Why do you say it is no good?

Because ive replaced every other thing in the fuel system and cant get it to run.

I dont no where to get a boost comp or how to fit it.

Any pics of a boost comp? where do they fit?
