Just wondering how much difference a 3" exhaust will make to my turbo 4.2 diesel gq? Is it worth putting a muffler in to keep it a little quiter?

you will need to put a mufler in it to keep mr plod happy

I have a straight through setup on my TD42T GQ, and also fitted the same system to my brothers GU ute. The GU was a bit louder than my car, but i'd say thats due to different turbo's etc.

At most, i'd just fit a good resonator or hotdog in the tail section.
