Hi Tojo dudes.
Look at buting a Cruiser 100 series 1HZ Diesel non turbo.
Been a Manual 4Wdriver for 20 years and would never buy a auto.
But i have been looking around for a Diesel 100 GXL and there are some nice trucks around "but " Auto.
How does the Auto cruisers preform in the bush offroading ie high country hill Climbs and descents.
Do they still run on as bad as did autos years ago.
Looking to jump ship from years of nissan ownership.
Any advise would be great.
regards
Grant.

How does the steep downhill control go, or are the brake these days good enough to make up for it.???

In my BJ74 auto i fitted 6.1 diff ratio's and the downhill decents are great. Providing you keep the revs up a bit to lock the converter in the auto, it holds very well.
Recently fitted crawler gears in our comp 40, although its a 350 on gas and auto, not diesel, downhill decents are greatly improved.
Cheers Pricey.

Auto non turbo diesel 100 (HZJ105R) are a slug.
The auto is reliable and good off road. A little fast downhill for ideal, but acceptable.
Auto's rock in sand, mud and steep uphills - love mine.
Anywhere momentum matters.
