Could be a thousand things but one common problem with the 2.8 is wear of the number 4 big end if incorrect grade of oil is used or not changed every 5000 km. This is a possibility that when the oil gets hot it gets thinner and pushes out the sides of the beaaring journal reducing pressure.
Now this is all dooms day stuff and may not even be the case but with an oil issue I would assume to have to replace the engine when you consider the price. A reco exchange 5L (2.8) is around $3500 and up.
So I made a typo the price still stands and the engine prob is that of the 3L just hope its not big end related but either way with an oil problem I would be factoring in a possible engine in the purchase price.

Its OK I didnt take it that way at all I laughed myself when your post made me taje a double take. Thats the trouble with forums with the words alone you sometimes cant tell the mood of the other person. If it were me Id look for a discount and maybe ask if you can do an oil pressure test maybe the sender goes alittle off beat when it heats up it might have great pressure but its sure something you'd want to get sorted sooner rather than later.
