Is 345000 km too high on a 97 80 series 4.5L Petrol/Gas with full service history and not thrashed at all.
How many km can be achieved out of one of these engines?

Nope, If it hasnt been thrashed then not a problem. Those 4.5 engines are TUFF. Ive had 2. A mate had 1 with 580 000k's, he tried everything to kill it and couldnt. They just keep on ticking, still producing good power aswell.

Lots of screwing going on in this thread.
Cookie, I'm guessing you were being towed by the XR8 right?

same with most tojo motors, keep the servicing up to them and use a good oil and they will keep on going

This is great news! This means by my odometer, my motor has only reached one quarter of it's life span. I will be 70 before it's time is up!
cheers, Scott

Engine will be alright if maintained, but make sure the transmission, diffs, steering box etc aren't farked.
