GQ Cooling System Service????

Post by dano80 »

Howdy All,

Just looking to service the cooling system of my TD42 Wagon, just have a few Q's.

I am going to replace the thermostat, Nissan genuine or generic?

Same for radiator cap?

I read somewhere about "real" coolant needing to have 60% Glycol is this true?

Fan seems to work well and no cracks, so I'll leave that I think.

I was going to also take the radiator out and paint it for a bit of protection and flush the radiator out along with the block, you know just stuff the hose up there.

Cheers, Dano.

If the vehicle history is unknown, While it's out I would get the Radiator "rodded" at a shop.

check the new thermostat for correct opening temps!!

any temp issues?? or is it just service time??

cheers
