Hows the V8 going?

Post by jackaroo02 »

Righto it has been out a couple of years now, how is the new TD 4.5 V8 holding up? I want one soon, but want an engine that will last 20 years. Hoping for some feedback on any probs from people that have worked them hard for a while now.

Cheers guys

I find that im getting 11s when i stay at 110kph, 13s when going over 120kph and i find that when going for a hard 4wd i useno more fuel then i do going 120kph.. i think if i didnt drive mine like a racecar (fast off the line and revving it out) id get 10s easy.

i have 30,000 on mine since june and it hasnt missed a beat, sounds great and you can tow a car trailer with a full size 4wd on it and it is effortless, no troubles on hill starts or anything.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown
