Gu's have far more space behind the grill, unlike Marins and Fenders no trimming required. However they are not as strong, you can't close the bonnet on a GU without the center strut been in place.
From the pump to the splitter was easy.
As is from the pump to the heat exchanger.
New center strut fabbed up by Hebble himself.
The 4 returns hooked up.
Trim a few brackets.
Grill on.
just need to get a finish pic when I see Hebble this week with the bull bar on.

OK, update time!
I decided to go the integrated one after much thinking last week. It's all plummed up just need to do a few things to the radiator at trikfab next week and put the new fans on, then hope Andy has some time to put it through a tune and dyno run.
Also completed the exhaust shields today. It's amazing how cool the engine bay is now that everything hot is covered up and away from peeking eyes.
Can't wait too see what she makes at the rear. Standard pump and all.

Came down the the more compact look and in the end i decided that being able to adjust the vlave clearances with it on would be handy when getting serviced.
By rad i actually meant head exchanger. I'm just getting a new plate put in so that my filler can automatically bleed out of the radiator overflow. meaning i shouldn't need to check the water level ever. Even so it's over kill ne ways, it's a sealed loop so now water should escape ne ways. But just incase i'd like it to have some back up to save the pump from running dry.

can I ask what the average fuel usage increase has been for these power ups?
Am interested but my bus already guzzles 15-16lts per hundred and a 20% increase would hurt if thats what others are seeing with the power gain

your only gonna use more fuel if you use that extra power all the time.
if i drive sensibly, even with my fuel wound way up, i use less than i used too before turboing it and even once it was turbod but no fuel increase im still using less.
and that consumption is nasty. im weighing in at 2.8 T and using about 12 L/100 on diesel
10.5-11 L/100 diesel with another 25% gas now im running the gas, and thats worth about 25% power.

All depends on how you drive, most look at power upgrade, but if you drive just the same you will save fuel.jtraf wrote:can I ask what the average fuel usage increase has been for these power ups?

So far the fuel consumption has been approx. the same if not better at times, however i love using the power so fuel consumption hasn't changed much. I've filled the tank so i'll try and do a conservative drive on this tank.jtraf wrote:can I ask what the average fuel usage increase has been for these power ups?

All in all, I'm getting the same fuel economy when I take it easy on 35's as I did on 32's b4 the cooler etc. But when I boot it, I now watch my fuel gauge like a reverse tacho LOL but that's all about how much fuel we have decided to put it.
