top end bearing - 92 V6 hilux surf

im about to buy a toyota hilux surf V6...

the bloke has advised me that the 'Top End Bearing' has given up...im still keen on gettin the surf but how difficult is it to replace the bearing?

im mechanically minded so im keen to get in and have a crack at replacing it OR is it worth just replacing the motor?

v6 surfs are rare as, but they run the same 3vze as the 4runners.
'91 Toyota Surf SSR Ltd. 2.4 TD Auto, Coil SAS, Duals, 4.88, Longs w/ front ARB, 35" MTRs
