Wow, love your work. I'll take 2, then a heap more for the customers.
Just need to get the no load up over 100 feet per minute, I have faith in you.

It would also be great if you can mod it like you can a highmount to get even more out of it.

Awesome winch there!

It might be also worth checking that the winch will fit your vehicle.

The Warn XD9000 is 183mm from the bolt C/L to the end of the motor. This gives me about 1mm space between the chassis rail and the winch motor (Land Rover).

The Warn 9.5XP is 202mm from the bolt C/L to the end of the motor.

The Tigerz11 TGW10 is 220mm from the bolt C/L to the end of the motor.

These are our biggest concerns when trying to develop more powerful winches .

What would be excellent, is if there was a brake mechanism that would allow the winch to be flipped - then the motor could poke through the ARB bullbar mounts winch cutout which is on the PS in my case. I tried to sus this out without any luck in fitting a 6hp to my XD9000 - it wasn't a goer because of the brake mechanism.

The highmount has has fitting implications also, with most bars these days only built for low mounts.

why could you not flip the winch due to the brake? On a warn isnt the brake internal to the drum ?

I know what you mean. Each time I go to take a winch off the shelf for my purposes I hear of a winch better suited to comp stuff.

the TIGER11 winchs run a really neat electromagnetic brake setup in the end of the motor cavity, which has proper wear bands and a steel clamping disc. This allows instantaneous braking in either direction with the added advantage of stopping rotaion of the planetry sets. So it has a ~210:1 added force advantage :) sorta like a transfer case handbrake that has more grunt than an axle handbrake due to the added reduction in the diffs...

So how much just for the motor?
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)

Just an update regarding the 2 new winches arriving we have manage to complete this in time for this shipment ,,the sliding ring gear for both 12000lb TWO SPEED & 10000LB COMPETITION WINCH will have 100% clutch engagement.

with a sliding ring gear not always will it engage 1st time ,you would need to rock the drum ,,,,so its not 100% engagement

the 12000lb two speed and 10000lb fast recovery will have 100% engagement ,just turn the handle and straight in engage

Im not sure if there is a winch on the market that can do it,with a sliding ring gear ,,i may be wrong.
