Help needed with my GQ

Post by shano799 »

Hi guys, I just purchased a GQ diesel, and was giving the old girl a once over when i found a hose going to nowhere.
It is attached to an electrical device on the firewall in turn connected to the clutch master. Is the hose supposed to be connected to anything ???
Looks like a vaccum hose but im not familiar with the TD42 engine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

proberly Idle up for injector pump. Get some pics up though. If you have a white coloured diaphram on the side of the injector pump with no hose and the spare hose comes from a solinoid next to or above the clutch master they go together.

I have plugged the hose and run no idle up on mine though.

sounds very much like the idle up supply line,

nastytroll, did you give the line a clean out, mine had done the same thing when i got it (just dangling down, i thought it was a drain line until i saw it in my manual one day) i plugged it in, it did nothing, so i took it off gave it a flush out, refitted it and it works like a dream.
