wat lift to run 35's

hey i got a 75series t/d
wounderin wat size springs lift i need to go so they dont rub ?

i was thinkin 3 inch or 4inch ?

there 35x10.5r16

i run 285's wit 2 inch lift atm

hey bud, i put 2 inch leafs and ex. shackels in my mates 75 the other month and 2 inch body. we had trouble with the exhaust runing down the wheel arch instead of inside the chassis. the rim had a 40mm ofset i think? it was somthing stupid like that, and still hit. it couldnt even get up a 4wd car ramp. but other people have had no problem at all.. good luck mate.

Don't know if you're still looking, but according a 4wd mag I have a home, you'll need 4"

but i run 35's on my 75series ute and they are fine. scrubs on full lock, but it hits the spring not the body. so thats because of offset instead of lift.

standard srpings are rubbish though, no flex and terribly stiff. im chasing a good quality 2"spring lift but think im going to have to convert to coils.

They may fit, but do they eat the firewall and guards when it articulates?, 33s on a 75 scrub the body when it flexs on a mates truck.

You can make leaves work quiet good, better than some may think. Playing with spring packs and asking around will go far.

yea im experimenting with my leaf packs now, ive got 10 leafs in each pack! is that alot or am i being silly after my suzuki had only 4? ahaha

10 springs in each pack, no wonder its stiff as, my hilux has 5 or 6 in each pack, its a fairly hard ride.
I would guess(and it would only be a guess) that you should be safe to remove a few from each pack, as 10 is a hell of alot of leafs on each corner.

Depends how much weight you carry, and how often, take 2 or 3 out. At the end of the day there a work truck, designed to carry lots of weight for long periods, inturn comes stiff suspension.

nah i dont carry huge amounts of weight in mine.
its luky to see half a tone of sand once a month if that. definetly going to take some leafs out.
anyone got any clue wich are the load carrying springs?? which ones can come out... long ones short ones?

The thicker shorter leaves in the bottom of the pack are load bearing, take a pic of your pack and post it up, depends how many of what make up the pack, i'd take 1 or 2 load leaves and a mid leaf.

The swaybar in the front will limit articulation also, although i'd say the leaf packs are probably the problem at the moment.

Have a read around there will be some 75 series build ups with respectable flex that still run leaves, anti inversion shackles are another good thing.
