patrol axles we need some help here

Post by modus »

found a set of patrol axles f/r but we dont have any experience.
the idea is to put the under a compete tj.

all i know about them is that they have stock 4.1 ratio and 9.5" r&p diameter and thats why they told me so. no experience at all.

well if someone can help us indentify what axle is that and give us some general info about who are the strongest patrol axles and are their stock specs ?
second what about oem or aftermarket parts as r&p's bigger shafts, lockers etc. and if ther is an option for a 4.88 and bigger ratio?

thanks guys keep the good job!

With out some detailed pic's they could be Y60 or Y61. Could be H233b rear or H260. The 233 and 260 is the crown wheel diametre.

axles are H233B dont know the exact patrol model they are from.

found caloffroad 30 spline cv's and same brand r&p.4.87 or 5.14 would be a choise.
http://www.caloffroad.com.au/products/c ... l%20GU.htm
as they told me here local all i will need is a arb locker for thr front r&p and those cv's.

whats going on with these products i mean if you do know them and what the limit tyre size that can handle ?

propably the tj will do a v8 swap or a inline six 4.0l
tyre size would be 90-95 cm's.

kepp posting guys you are helping here
thanks

you will have identify which axles before buying CV's.

A pic of the nuckels will give away the front type, The rear, if it has a 10mm flange on the axle tube to bearing housing, it will be Y60. If the flange is 30mm, it will be Y61.
