My thought aswell Joshy. Just cause you didnt pay top dollar at a fab shop, doesn't mean its not good work. and in alot of situations its not case of being born yesterday and trying to build a truck today. most ppl do there research & get someone who knows how to weld, like i did.

Pal, you obviously DIDN'T understand anything of what I wrote??

In addition to that, you're really insulting the many guys that do have the ability to build a good truck from their back yard.

i agree with yous because i would love to enter in with my 80 series but with a 6" suspension lift sitting on 37" super swampers with guards chops (not engineered) i guess that counts me out

Just because you pay top dollar at a fab shop doesnt mean it is good work either. I dont think the prejudice should be on where its made...more the final outcome. Seen plenty of good trucks from backyards and hopefully mine will be another one of them :D

Hey as far as i can see, there is alot of work yet to be done on the actual track to get it ready! How about you gimps quit your pissin and moanin and give the guys a hand to get it all ready and then you can cry about rules and regs, my truck doesn't have engineers papers for all the work on it but i'm tryin to do my bit. At the moment there is no competition, cause there are no tracks so you are all cryin for nothing!!!
if it has tit's, wheels or a motor you better have money

We are unable to post entry forms as we are STILL waiting on communications from CCDA
I know it is frustrating but there is little we can do until our Sup Regs are sanctioned.
The delay is also hindering marshal training

Entry fees are $300 per vehicle for each round
Our format has been designed to promote club participation, points are earned by the Club and not the individual crews. As such clubs have option to enter different crews at each round if they wish however if a place is earned in the Finals the competing crews must have compete in one of the previous four rounds. This provides the opportunity for greater club participation.
Clubs will also have the option to subscribe to all rounds for $500 (or $100 for each round). This will guarantee that clubs positions at each round. As entries are on a 'first in best dressed' basis clubs who do not subscribe can not be guaranteed positions at each round. Round entry for subscribed clubs is $250 per vehicle.

some pics as of today.

As it stands course 1 is basically complete, course 2 is waiting on 2 x obsticles, course 3, 4 and 5 wil be started friday at this stage as we need to finish some earth works and get a bit more material in. Course 6 is nearing completion and will be augering holes of the stays tommorow as this is mostly constructed of telegraph poles.

If anyone has a comp truck and is available from say 3ish tommorow for a couple of hours we could do with a couple of areas to be test driven prior to the weekend, pm me if you are available.

as posted earlier any help over the weekend would be greatly appreciated, please pm 16em if you are available.

A BIG thank you to the guys from Kamikaze Club and Pete from Nepean Club for coming out today and lending a hand. With temps approaching 40 it was a better day for the beach but you guys still put in a great effort, even the Little White Bar Fridge had a red hot go (don't forget your helmet next time little mate ;) )

Another BIG thank you to Charles, Chloe, Steve and son from Bong Bong Club for coming out to drive the rock course. We have taken your feedback on board and with a few tweaks we should get it right. it was great to be able show Eastern Creek what it is all about. Steve said it did not look much but once you drove it he was amazed.

A very special thank you for Tiny. Tiny has been out there for weeks now driving the machines for us (you don't always plug in :) ) Tiny is a wheeler and Excavator operator and we could not do without him.

If any other clubs wish to help please contact Mark or myself. There is a little hard yakka but it is mostly a fun day. We have two courses (tyres and All Terrain) which need 'adopting'. Basically we mark a course out, deliver the materials and help you guys to make the obstacles of your design. Clubs that help out will be rewarded.

We have a CD of pics coming tomorrow and some video which we will post up soon (need to get the entry forms up first)

We also had a visit from a group of guys who are going to provide addition entertainment at the events. These guys were excited at the opportunity and believe me they will keep spectators and competitor very entertained (more on this soon)

Cheers

no probs mate, you will pay in the end :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

It would be really great to see some more people out there helping, little things like throwing in pipe to retain the conduit for bunting etc need to be done as the tracks are progressing, fencing needs to be done, tweeking tracks, driving tracks to bed them in and double, tripple, quadrouple check stuff.

also I will be running the recovery teams at the events and will be needing some operators on the day. If you have and excavator ticket and are competent on an excavator and would like to help out please PM me direct, we will also need a couple of trucks with winches (synthetic rope if possible) and other recovery team members, if you are interested please PM wayne (16em)

Other than that, let all you non 4wd mates know about the event

Just a Q on the rules

If its one team per club, does that same team have to compete in each event, or can we have a different team in each different event?
(event as in weekend eg. Event 1 Feb Event 2 May etc etc)

I understand to win the series the Team must get good scores in all events but just asking for clubs that have more than 4 people drivers that want a go at this new series.

cheers

Yes you can have different drivers and cars as the score only goes towards the club.. If you guys are like us we have 4-5 drivers that WILL rotate for this event (and also willowglen and toperi)

A different team can compete at each round (event)
This provides opportunity for more club members to partake
However if the Club earns a place at the finals only teams which have compete in the rounds are allowed
