60 series housings are about 3" wider than 75s. You could fit both housings under the 75 but you'd have to move the spring perches to line up with your spring hangers.

Its less than that... I put a 60 series front (leaf spring) diff in my old 75 series. Had to swing the leaves out about 20mm each side. Made no diffence at all. But I had the BIG diff centre in the front. They will bolt straight in.

ive just put an 80 series diff under the back of my 75... bit of mucking around with the handbrake cable and running new brake lines but well worth the effort!!!! by the time you convert that cheap 60 series diff to discs its no longer going to be so cheap...

yes 80 series could be done but its coil. i need the leafs for work so i can carry weight. i had a chassis to convert my 75 but couldnt due to work pretty sh!t are 60 centres the same as 75? i know early 80 series fit my 75 i wanna put a rear locker in it. i was looking at the 60 diffs with lockers in them but since the 60 is a bit wider and has a bit of sh!t involved i think ill just look for centres or locker seperately.

almost but not quite, is it due to the diff offset? Ive seen a 45 series with 100 series diffs under it and leafs. Didnt see how they tackled it around the diff though

pretty sure marks adapters and Locktup do kits for discs on a 60 diff.... as for a 80 diff in the front of a 75 it can be done but is a fair amount mucking around to cut the drivers side spring perch into the diff pumkin... For once I agree with ZOLTON

the easyest way to convert 60 drum to disk is cut the ends of the diff housing and have the ends from the 75 housing welded in.
that is how i did myne and I have no problems .it cost me about $300 to do the conversion you allso have to change the spring perches as the 60 ones are wider appart and are allso different to the 75 ones.
I have done the same sort of thing to the front it gave me a 75 mm wider track witch is more stable on side angles and cornering

So the question needs to be asked then, if one cuts the housing in a similar fashion to a cut and turn front knuckle cut, then removes the spindles, does the same to the 75 donor axle, will he be able to press the 75 stubs into the 60 housing? Are the machined diameters on the stub the same between models?

Yes, but check the tailshaft flange, there were some bolt pattern changes between models/years.
