60 series 75 series diff housing's?
i am in need of a rear housing for my 75 ute. i can geta 60 series with front n rear lockers cheap. am i able to use the rear housing out of the 60 series and put straight into my 94 hzj75? any help would be appreciated

yes 80 series could be done but its coil. i need the leafs for work so i can carry weight. i had a chassis to convert my 75 but couldnt due to work pretty sh!t are 60 centres the same as 75? i know early 80 series fit my 75 i wanna put a rear locker in it. i was looking at the 60 diffs with lockers in them but since the 60 is a bit wider and has a bit of sh!t involved i think ill just look for centres or locker seperately.
the easyest way to convert 60 drum to disk is cut the ends of the diff housing and have the ends from the 75 housing welded in.
that is how i did myne and I have no problems .it cost me about $300 to do the conversion you allso have to change the spring perches as the 60 ones are wider appart and are allso different to the 75 ones.
I have done the same sort of thing to the front it gave me a 75 mm wider track witch is more stable on side angles and cornering

So the question needs to be asked then, if one cuts the housing in a similar fashion to a cut and turn front knuckle cut, then removes the spindles, does the same to the 75 donor axle, will he be able to press the 75 stubs into the 60 housing? Are the machined diameters on the stub the same between models?

thats ok i have a spare flange out of a centre ive got hopefully there the same spline. just have to find a 75 housing. land8079 ive tried messaging you 3 time but it wont work the msg's wont send for some reason so if u read this pm me your mobile number and ill call u asap cheers for all the help fella's
