Broke the timing belt on my 6g72 powered series 1 today. Just wondering if anyone has knowledge if this would generally bend valves and hurt pistons in one of these motors?
Have been told that 6g72's have enough clearance between valves and pistons for this to not be a problem. Is this true or should i just find another engine for it?

6G72 SOHC 12v with 8.9:1 CR is non-interference. 6G72 SOHC 12v with 10:1 CR and all DOHC and/or 24v variants are interference design.
