Wiring Harness confusion

Post by george013 »

Hi, I bought an engine out of a 94 wide track the other day that came with the wiring harness. I noticed it had 3 yellow plugs and a black one going into the firewall. When I took my engine out (89 narrow track) I noticed my wiring harness has only 2 yellow plugs and the black one.

Can anybody tell me what the difference is? I have gone through all the sensors, injectors, etc and found both wiring harnesses have the same things attached... can I use my wiring harness on the new engine or does the newer one need a different computer with different mapping etc?

Thank you,
George

different computers you need the other computer ie if you have the 2 plug computer already you will need the 3 plug computer or vice versa

or just use the original loom...... the engines is exactly the same, apart form a couple of very very minor details - none of which will cause issues
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
