after searching to no avail, i figured i would ask the questions...
does anybody have any info and/or pics on moving a rb30 alternator up higher in the engine bay??
from stock they are stupidly low and i have killed a couple of them despite my best efforts to clean them out etc.
will be either rebuilding my current one (noisy bearings) or swapping in a higher amp alternator in the near future...so i figured why not move it while im at it.
more specifically, im after bracket designs i could model off...this is the bit that has got me stumped.

when you said twin turbo i knew it was narnturbogq...spewin, he doesnt have a good clear shot of how the alternator is bolted down.

Mat_p Ive cracked the camera out and taken a few pics for you.
The basic setup is an endless air in the factory alternator position, running off the crank, with the factory tensioner bracket modified.
A belt runs of the endless air up to the alternator. ive used a 130 amp landcruiser one, and it is awesome charging the batteries quick.
The bracket is a piece of angle bolted onto the inlet manifold, where the coil bracket bolts on, and theres a brace back on to the head.
Its a bit hard to get good shots with the wiring, etc in the way but here they are.
