i have changed all leads and plugs and for some reasion i dont have a choke cable well at least i dont think i do i cannot find t in the car or in the engine bay there is no cable or anything :? while we are on the topic of carbys what are views on webbers? what will make my car run a bit better on and off road.

eheh u made a new topic rather than a new post =)

i ran a weber for a while (notice i have one for sale) - i ran mine on a 1600 engine and it was great - more power for sure. Same economy (unless i was using the power), but did have the usual weber issues offroad with flooding and starving - i never did the fuel bowl mod which fixes that though. If you're after a cheap power boost its worth doing, but if you're going to be doing some big angles offroad i'd think twice.
