i have changed all leads and plugs and for some reasion i dont have a choke cable well at least i dont think i do i cannot find t in the car or in the engine bay there is no cable or anything while we are on the topic of carbys what are views on webbers? what will make my car run a bit better on and off road.

i ran a weber for a while (notice i have one for sale) - i ran mine on a 1600 engine and it was great - more power for sure. Same economy (unless i was using the power), but did have the usual weber issues offroad with flooding and starving - i never did the fuel bowl mod which fixes that though. If you're after a cheap power boost its worth doing, but if you're going to be doing some big angles offroad i'd think twice.
