Have an 08 Rubicon - want a second set of feet but to to keep the $$ reasonable i'm after 16" or 15" steels. Have the 2" Mopar spring lift (waiting for the shocks to come out) so i don't screw my warranty.
Who is running what brand of rims (size and backspacing) and from where?
What tyres have your got on them,who did you get them through?
Do they rub on full lock or full compression?
Looking at muddies because i'm a mexican and we have the best mud / clay out down here. Only be play tryes so as long as they are 'stable on road' not fussed on brand.
Also need to put a Snork on - so looking at the AEV - who has one and what is your opinion?

I can't comment on a second set of rims but I can add my 2 cents worth on snorkels.
I have a 09 JK Rubicon and have fitted the ARB Safari Snorkel.
The AEV is the easiest to fit but I did not like that as I would co ver the Rubicon decal. If you do go down the AEV path, I would probably look at the AEV bonnet hood. Snorkels are a personal thing.. And you will get a number of different answers.
The 09 models came out of the show room with 17" rims. 16" tyres are cheaper and if you can fit 15" then they will be cheaper again.
As I am a lazy bugger I can not be stuffed with a second set so I will have MT's as my daily tyres. I will eventually go with the 285/70 17's KM2's

I'll be fitting 285/75r16 on 4.25" BSM 16x8" rims to my JK in the near future.
I originally wanted 5" BSM which would actually have the inside of the new rim sitting in roughly the same place as the standard rims, just stick out a further half inch on the outsides as the rim would be .5" wider than the stock 17" alloy rims. But the 4.25" BSM rims were too cheap to pass up so I went for them. I may regret this soon...we'll see. I am expecting to have to add extensions to the flares so the tyres don't hang out too much.
Be aware If you use anything but standard wheels and tyre sizes you risk issues with warranty on the axles, diffs, driveshafts, clutch, gearbox and mounts. Even using steel rims in the same size as standard gives the dealer a weasle out excuse if a bearing were to fail. I would wait until you've got a few KM under its belt before you risk causing warranty issues with the driveline.

You wont be able to fit 15" rims as they will hit the brake callipers. I would go with a set of 16"x8" with 5" Backspace, as YOM says these sit roughly the same inside the wheel well as stock rims, and your track width increase will be within legal limits. But I found it hard to obtain 16x8s with the 5" BS, Most steelies with wrangler stud pattern are 4.25" or 3.75" BS (which result in a massive track increase)
In the end i bought a second hand set of 17" standard wrangler rims and they are my daily drivers, and am using the standard 16" wrangler rims with 285/75 R16 muds for my off road duties. this setup seems to work pretty well for me.
