80 series owners please help a brother

Post by mrgrumpysleeps »

hey all,

Im sorting out the correct wires to connect up to my sub tank gauge sender, ( the 2 wires that come out of the sub tank). From what i can work out one wire is yellow with silver dots but cant find the other wire, i think it comes out of the sub tank gauge as a grey/brown colour but i cant find that colour wire down near the sub tank.

So, can you please look down on top of your sub tank for the connector plug on the tank side and the gauge side of the connector and tell me what colour wires they are.

PPPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE

thanks in advance!

they change color in the rear loom section to the tank, from the plug, may be a yellow with red stripe. It depends what model too.

Black with white stripe is earth on cruiser.

Afew minutes with a multi meter will help you get them sorted.
