2L into a 3L

Post by torz80 »

Hey guys just wondering is there a change in engine mounts and bell housing from the 2L 2.4 Toyota Hulix and the 3L 2.8 Hulix.
I have a 1990 Hilux with no motor and can get a 2L turbo
Thx guys

You should be good to go (same block), may need a different gearbox cross member depending on which box you use. Manual Surf's run a "R" series box.

If your using a Surf turbo setup, watch out for the brake lines at the master as a non-turbo version has them exit the master on the engine side (close to turbo).

If the 3L is in decent condition, might want to bolt the turbo gear on the 3L ;)
