40 series conversion"petrol to diesel"? please rea

hi all i have bought another 40 series its a 74 fj40 and i have at the moment a 79 bj40 and i am looking to take the motor out of my bj and put it in the fj is this possible and what problems could i run into? i got a quote of 3 grand to have it done thats swaping them and mounting them both up..

Engine mounts are in different positions, the edic motor needs to be wired in along with the fuel control relay, change transmission bellhousing as well, that's just off the top of my head.

The engine mountings are different, and depending on the year the gearbox mounting is also different

Recommend that you use the BJ cogbox instead of messing with bell housings and input shafts

I did the mod the other way around - I took the B motor out and fitted a 2F
