Central locking on GQ patrol

Post by 92 GQ Patrol »

Hey guys, i have a 92 GQ standard patrol and it recently got broken into. I have the standard lift up/push down locks on the patrol and i think the person who broke into it just jimmyed the door and the lock! Has anyone put on an after market central locking kit (i am thinking this will be harder to break into)? Any negative or positive info would be great or any other ideas?
Thanks

I had a central locking kit on my GQ and it took about an extra 30 seconds to break into it once I put central locking on it.

Sadly, I think it's just one of those things that you may aswell leave your GQ unlocked as the locks are so crap.

I've never used them, but it might be worth having a look at a set of solex locks or something?
