Only ran them for about 6 months, but they had nice grip on the road, even in the wet. They were good on the sand too and were similar in noise to most muddies. Only dramas was they were wearing quickly.
Never got to test them properly offroad byt took them to LCMP once (was bolting 37s on out there) and staked a kuhmo on the gravel road on the trip out.
Ended up selling them when upgrading to 35" MTZ on 17" rims. Seen them on the guys truck who bought them about 2 years later and they were still looking pretty good for about 30% tread left, but not sure how many kms he had done.
I've had them and found them stacks better for traction then the mtr's and baja's and even the bfg mt .
But for serious 4wding the side walls are weak (no weaker than the bfg's though)and prone to tear.
THE GRASS MAY BE GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE BUT YOU STILL GOTTA MOW IT.
I brought a set when they first come on the scene. I previously had the old pattern and they proved to be good for the money, so I thought I'd give them another go. I put them on my tourer GQ Patrol in a 31-10.5r15 and I have only just taken them off and they still had 25% tread. My Gq was my DD and clocked up some kays I think they done approx 60000 and I only ever got one flat. They are a stable tyre with good traction characteristics on both mud and rock. With the mud they didn't clog any worse than other makes of muddies. On the rock they proved to have plenty of grip . The only thing I would say is that the sidewalls were a bit of a let down as I rubbed a tree root and tore the sidewall on one. Other than that ,I'd say bang for buck there worth every cent. I found them to be a great all round tyre . They do become noisier with wear but what muddie doesn't. Just my two cent's....

yea, you can do a bit better walkin into dealers on em. I got prices on 285's recently, cant find the flammin thing at moment. was similar to the 285 claw @ 260

I sold my set late last year but found them to be great. They are now in Brisbane somewhere on a Suzuki. The couple of things which I did notice about them is that they were a small 31, they did wear quite fast in comparison to other tyres which I've had - mind you these were the first tyres that I have bought brand new for the car and the car was a bit more floaty - but this could also be due to changing from a slightly smaller tyre, which was not a muddy.
Reason for changing was that we were doing Cape York and as I had sliced a few of the tread blocks quite badly it was recommended to get other tyres. Also I needed to have a spare that was of a similar size.
I did consider getting another set of them, but luckily found a set of 5 MTZ's at the right price in as new condition on one of the forums. These are more of a true size 31 well at least the same size as my 2nd spare.
Would highly recommend the Kumho's, I found them excellent in all conditions, and the directional bit didn't effect me.
Well I picked up a set of 5 (35-12.5-15) from Ryano at Fourbies the other week and have gotten the chance to test them out at Glasshouse on the weekend and I am very impressed with how they performed. I went with the kL71's because a mate has the same and was very impressed with the on and offroad manners. We will be heading up to the cape shortly so will be able to let you all know how they perform. Two trolls both with the same new tyres towing campers.
