Post by Wozza244 »

Hi just got my new CV's in the mail and they didnt come with the circlips needed for the installation, is this normal and it was my fault not ordering them or do you think they have forgot to add them in the box??

I got home too late to call them just wondering would toyota have them in stock cause we hav a shop in town.

The ones for the very end of the axleshaft? My longs came with a few I think. But Toyota stock them, called the 'spring clip' and around $7 from memory.

Ahh ok I know the circlip as the clip you put on the end of the stub axle after half the freewheeling hub is on. What your talking about I thought was a snap ring and yes they should have come with them.

Yep, always the way with genuine parts. Order a genuine water pump and you have to order a gasket for it seperately while every aftermarket waterpump comes with a gasket. Well it's how it works with Toyota anyway.

Every aftermarket CV I have bought (lots) have come with the replacement circlip/snap ring for the CV to inner axle.

Yea would be a good idea to include them (saves a trip to toyota due to nobody else stocking them)

Mate he means the the spring clip that goes on the end of the axle inside the cv to hold it from coming off the axle.

Nice, but only a few weeks too late  all good but those CV's seem like a good bit of gear so far

Ah good stuff, good products mate but i never asked on the phone cause 90% of other suppliers will supply a snap ring with the CV, my local bloke had none in stock so he undid a new cv pack and took it out for me.
All good mate cant wait to test out the cv's.
