my 2 cents,
i would like to say that i think that leno done a great job on saturday for someone that got thrown in to marshalling.this was the first comp that i have entered in my own car but have been around the comp pic for alot of years with wally and piggy and i think that the comp down there is really good and i well be back there again to try again after i broke the car on the second stage in street mod.my 2 cents, hope to see you all out there next comp.pete

ROCKCRAWLER thats right you weren't there so what are you on about putting your 2cents in? Are you the guy that dented his roof 6th dec?? nice truck anyway. And banks001 what is your prob? What have i done to you? I didn't appreciate been abused by two fellow drivers because i took points off per stage for having two aided diff's, they couldn't turn sharp so they had to stop revs alot. Second stage was told 10 30 and 50 points above the rocks, 100point bonus if you drove up and above. ANYONE ELSE HAVE A PROB??????
mate ur a dead set wank shaft, have a look at wat you are saying to the people that are competing and making the park money, betta shh up and organise ur class a bit better or no one will want to compete
MR banks001 you really need to pull your head in before you get this thread blocked, what is your prob, i took "OIIIIIIIO" saying you need to use forward gears and turning circle as HUMOUR, not as an insult, in other words you need to go forward not backwards or you'll loose points. This is pro driving talk if you drove what he did. Whats with the name calling anyway, i dont see him name calling you!! And i would have him back as marshall anyday as he is a top bloke to talk to. Hey LEN drive your jeep next time so then it'll be JEEP 1st 2nd and 3rd. BY the way banks001 i was filming behind you when i heard you slanging off at other fellow drivers!! Yes i have it on tape and i think its best if i keep it that way too. Be a sportmans .

the jeeps are a very capable car with a bit of a lift and good tyres will be very hard to beat in this class .
look at the way you drive the tracks and see were you can improve and look at your car to see what mods can be done to be more competitive .
it is a waste of time accusing other competitors of having lockers or limos front and rear when they clearly dont.
as for points it doesnt matter wether a track is scored with 100 points or 1000 points as long as all the cars were scored the same it is just a number .
just be thankfull some one volunteered to marshall your tracks .
harden up or get out it brings down the whole comp.

cheers brett

I was there on Saturday spectating, I had no idea what was going on anywhere just wondered around to see what I could see, missed out on seeing the buggies had no idea where they were.
I take my hat off to anyone willing to give up their time to marshall or help in any way! If it werent for these guys there would be no event.
Might be a good idea to orginise marshalls and assistants and recovery vehicles before the event where possible in the future.
I've seen 4wd event scoring quite often go into negitaves just read Xtreme 4x4 sport XRC rules. Placing due to elapsed time minus penalties, if you get more penalties than your placing score it will go negitive its the gamble you take. Tough tracks can aswell I believe.
Would be nice for those competing if the scores were capped to a minimum of 0.

darren was the owner of the jeep and he had his son alex as first time navi .
he is a very good driver and knows his car well as most of you would have seen . the car is totally stock except for the lift and 33" tyres .
the diffs are standard limo rear and open front .
well done guys top effort i am sorry a monority had to spoil the weekend for you with all the accusations of lockers and limos .

well to say the least im disipointed because i know that i drove the second bonus in the first stage and didnt stop enough to get a 100point penility. also i only had a 3" lift, only run 33" tyres and run a rear diff lock, every one in the class can see my front spinn, i only use the front once i have called the points and am going to recover. as for -8 what a load of shit, some one needs to pull there head out of there are i made it half way through the course, the same as 2 other cars, one drove the bonus 1 didnt, so how come i got so low??? u say the all scored that same but i dont think so there is to much descrepancy in the scores. as to if ill compete again, i dont know if i want to. this comp is just not organised enough, no one even knows where the next stage is let alone the point on the stages. so fuck it, im not going to kill my car for it.

Shane, get fucked mate, seriously, i do my best out there and all you do is ridicule. go jam it u smart arsed fuck!!!!

to the others who want to has a go at my car i bring what i have, and i use it.if u dont like it, go look at someone else. i run fair, but others do now, there was a car in street mod with a 6" lift and 38" boggers, how come thats not near the bottom of the table? i run a can that fits all the guide lines and still get rooted for it, thats not fair.

The rules haven't changed and thanks to the marshall for assisting. We had enough marshalls but as he offered to help we took him up on the offer.
The fact that a minority decided to continually complain about the marshalling while others were trying to drive the course and kept going on about the rules that was a factor for modified.
If you don't like the competition it's simple don't show up. We are continuing to grow the event but the complaining does put a little dampener on the whole thing.
I would also like to thank a lady who was 39 weeks pregnant for coming and assisting with the scoring that some of you are camplaining about.
The event won't change as the gratitude far outways the complaints.

Yes i can explain and like i said to those on the day we will review the scoring but as you would all know it was getting late and the rain was about to come so our main focus was to try and get the top three and end up with a winner so we could all leave.
The woman who has the scores is about to give birth so i don't think the scores are high on her priority list.
We will look at them when we get a chance.

For all those who are wanting a serious well scored event, why don't you enter into tough tracks next month. I will hopefully be out there to have a look, so if our event hasn't got the structure your looking for I would highly recommend tough tracks trophy class.

Aaron have a good trip around Aus and I look forward to seeing you in tough tracks when you get back as there rules are set and you can go to their website to set your car up.

If your interested in marshalling the Modified class please let us know.

well done fellars.
i think brendan has almost had enough of your shit.
next step will be just shut the whole thing down.

lets not let it get to that stage.

ELMO
no one is asking you to smash your car up. this comp is about fun, not driving your hardest, smashing your/our cars. its always been stated to drive to your abilities, damage wise as well. IF YOU chose to do damage, dont complain about it

i dont really care about the damgae ill fix it, its part of the sport, but i would have liked to see some form of fairness in the scoreing if im going to do it, and i dont.

 Yep, I think you are right. I don't mean any disrespect to Luke, it is a friendly dig that is all.

If the scoring went wrong Luke it was an accident, hopefully it will get sorted out. Luke, you have complained quite a few times on the internet and it does detract from a great weekend. I think everybody knows the comp isn't perfect yet so I recommend you go with the flow or just come out to watch a few times until it is up to your standard. Either that, or help Marshall and get the scores right.

I had a ball, Ionly got the stage 1&2 done before the the
truck gave me problems. It's not looking to good now but
lucky
the next comp is a couple of months away.
I have footage of stage 2 street modified and I added up my
score of what I thought was right and it was pretty much the
same as Len gave me.
Looking forward to round 2.

I met some good blokes out there on the weekend
had a luagh drove my truck done some tracks I wouldn't
normally do and got to know my car alot better.
Here is a suggestion.
We had 17 cars in our class and 4 track and we only did 3.
Why not split the team up into 2. 1st team starts s1 & the
2nd team starts s2. This way the wait isn't to long and we have 2 teams
in each group that Marshall that group very one wont to win so I can't see cheating happening. We get given a set of
rule a map of the stage with where the bonus point are and where to drive.
I will put forward some ideas to Brendan if he wants..As its not my comp..I'm happy to help out where I can. We don't really have a comp like this around at the moment for street mod class which is this relaxed.
I reckon we could turn this class into some fun and get really competative which reading this thread there are a few of you that are and like to win.
Cheers again for the weekend I had a ball, except
for the 380mm of rain

you car correct, but i got stuck on the bonus line i wen in and my rear got stuck and it stayed there till yes i was pulled out, could move in either direction, same i believe as a suzuki, after getting of the bonus line i drove into the lower section of creak without stoping where i once again drove in and got stuck unable to move in either direction. at that point i said i will tke those point and tryed to get out dual locked, still couldnt move and had to be recovered.

but still dont see how that gets me and me alone -8 when there where others in the same boat.

Oh ok, correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it the rules once you get towed out its a big DNF even tho you still drove you cant collect anymore points?
you only get to keep what you got b4 you got towed?? -8 ??? maybe zero should of been the bottom line. I think you'll find the marshall was just carrying out the rules he was given not making them, i was at the office when i overheard the conversation in the morning before it all started, petty sure he was scoring correct . But anyway i think you drove pretty good on the day.
