I was swapping my transfer out to replace it with one which I thought was exactly the same. Everything lined up fine and when we went to bolt the drive shafts back up the holes didn't match.
They both have the 4wd light, Its not a 1lt transfer as far as im aware. What could be the problem??
Urgent, I need the car on Monday
The car is a 88.5 WT and the new transfer s out of a 94ish WT
Help appreciated

88.5 have narrow track flanges sized flanges.
The quick and rough way is to get 1/2 a set of NT driveshafts, or swap the flanges on the case.
The flanges can be swapped without any effects on seals or preloads - even the FSM explains transfer flanges can be removed and seals replaced with the case still intact and in the car.
