Well it's roughly one month until this awesome event gets under way again. But there is a program that is airing now on Pirate 4x4 TV (link in the quote below) with the starting grid draw, interviews, and a preview of the LCQ, the Last Chance Qualifier course.
The 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers starting grid will be determined on Tuesday night January 12, 2010 live on Pirate4x4 TV Live! The show will air from 5pm – 8pm PST Live at http://www.pirate4x4.com/tv/live.php . As the drivers are drawn, they will be talked about individually highlighting some of their accomplishments and abilities.
The 2010 4 Wheel Parts Last Chance Qualifier order will also be determined and the course will be revealed. You will watch a turn by turn video presentation of the ins and out of this grueling 6 mile course that must be completed before participating in the Main Event on Friday. Stay for the post-show to see the in-car camera of the course as well.
The 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers is gearing up to be the largest happening on the Means Dry lake bed ever. The schedule of events is amazing. The companies that are coming together to support the event is incredible. The entire schedule is rolled out as a video presentation so you can have more detail on each days activities starting Sunday February 7th and wraps up Saturday February 13th.
Pirate4x4 TV Live! is a monthly TV Show that is hosted by Camo and Charlene. Special guests for this months episode include Jeff Knoll from King of the Hammers, Greg Adler and Brent Goegebuer from 4 Wheel Parts, Steve Beebe from Griffin Radiators and Bill Kunz from Torchmate demonstrating their new 2x2 table. Lots of video footage from Johnson Valley will also be included.
I heard through the grape vine there is an aussie team in this year. Is this true? If so keep us posted cause this event rocks and i wana see how they go. Go the Aussies (if they are in)
they just interviewed napsta on the live feed from the finish line. Had a few unfortunate events including a flat battery and broken link. Bummer mate!

I had to leave around 6 yesterday morning and didn't see the rest of the race but Ben did so well early on, running as high as second for a large part of the early stages of the race.
Hopefully coverage of the event will continue to improve as the live feeds were a bit of a challenge to sit through this year.
The DVD should be a ripper though as they had a lot of cameras recording the event. Pre-ordering mine from Locktup this week I think

And this year, pretty sure he won't let it happen again though.

I imagine he wasnt planning on it happening again this year.
Anyone found any results or some info on the event other than the chat room type coverage Pairate did this year? Usually they have someone writting up info as it happens but it appears they did not do that this year So unless I watched it live im struggling to find very little info at all. It took me 10 min of searching on Pirate to even find out who won. I would say this was the worst coverage of any event pirate has ever done.
