Hi guys just wondering what the best spring lift for a hilux, but i want to keep it reasonably legal as i have a big trip to work every day. So I am thinking maybe 2 or 3inch but without extended shackles and that sorta thing I am also running 31's

just leave it standard ride height, 100% legal, twin lock it, leave the 31's on and outdrive the living sh!t out of all the city gutter jumpers that look "supposedly" "tough" rolling on the bitumen........

Have to agree with the guys saying leave it stock hieght and lock it. I just have a rear locker and when it was still standard hieght with 31s I got many places easier than mates in unlocked GQs and 80s with lifts and 33/35s
I only went a a suspension lift so I could fit bigger tyres without scrubbing as I did get hung up on the U-bolt plates a couple of times

this is the reason i would go as big tyres as your willing to drive on (poor qlders) bu yeah a locked lux on 31's and some creative lines will out drive a flexy lifted lux with open diffs all day.
and 90% of it can be done with just a rear locker - i rarely had to flick the front on.

lockers and 35's will tend to break cv's so expect to want longs at somestage too.
but yeah will get you into lots of trouble with that set up. sounds fun.
