I would like to contact someone regarding some things on my vehicle and making sure it meets all the safety requirements etc for Trophy class, and maybe even arrange a pre-event scrutenier if thats OK. I'm hoping to be a first time competitor in round 1 this year.
If anyone could help me or put me onto someone soon that would be most appreciated :)

of course the organisers are going to do their best to make the event go ahead, and in doing so it would have to be a last minute decision to call it off due to bad weather. unless they have a solid week of torrential rain out there they're just not going to know until last minute.

whats happenning with the tough tracks website? is there somewhere else I can get an entry form from?

Well done on posting that up Willy Hilux
Just remember that this is an old form. The price is $60 for members and $90 for non members. Also if you are doing Mod class just add that in the vehicle class and circle it I guess.

Yep not looking good. I hope that Tough Tracks club can make a call sooner than last year. I know it's a hard call and I assume that Jan and Owen will have a say in it as well because they don't want the camp grounds all ripped up and we need to think of the safety side of things as well. I remember last year with round 1. The main camp ground was a mess. We all tried to be as careful as we could but it was still a boggy mess at the end.

It would be good to know by Thursday at the latest if it was going ahead or not.

Gonna need some sunshine to dry this out... I hope we get it by Thursday at least. I wouldn't blame the organisers for cancelling. Wet weather really affects Janowen, makes a mess of the grounds and the tracks. Bring on the sunshine, not to mention club sponsors Swans Water Hire need some work!!

I reckon a set of oars would more suit the 40 in power stakes. A 115hp Merc would scare the old girl.

Just make sure they are at least 2/3 covered by the guards. I'm not FRIGGIN CASPER
It's a big call to make by postponing the event and one that would probably cost the club money however most competitors and spectators would appreciate early notice. For the guys that take time off work, trailer cars up etc etc the cost is for a non event is hard to take. For the club I guess they rely on the food and raffle to recoup the costs involved. Regardless of numbers attending their cost would be similar, I would think they should put it off for a couple of weeks and get some decent weather to make it a sucessful weekend for all involved.

We await official word.

Hi all, I haven't been to a tuff tracks round in a few years so just need to know a couple of things for this weekend.

I will be up there with a few mates to watch the action, we want to come up on the friday afternoon and camp through to sunday - will we need to book?
Also is the costs for the weekend $25 for the 4bie and $7.50pp per night camping, I want to go play on the tracks through the weekend also.

Thanks for your help and hope to see you all up there if the weather fines up! the weather man reckons it will be sunny on friday ;)

I think the location of Janowen, that one particular valley surrounded by big hills means they are either protected a bit or they cop heaps. If Jan is happy to go ahead I guess that would mean a very good chance of an event this weekend. Wait and hear back from the TT boys then.
